We understand that from the first stage to dementia last stage, you may have several questions about our facility, and we are happy to answer them. Below, we have provided answers to some frequently asked questions regarding the stages of dementia,Â
What kind of food is provided?1
Only vegetarian food will be provided. The food is provided according to the patient likes. Culture food will be provided, if the person is from Karnataka the food will be provided based on that and their habits of taste.
What is the daily routine for the patient?
Morning they can go for a walk freely inside the premises and after breakfast their medication will be provided doctors visit later on lunch and take a nap if they wish and can go to the shops do what they like as we have horticulture therapy spiritual therapy music therapy and in the evening they can go for walk around. The restaurant and café are also open they can go there before the night dinner. The dinner is followed by medication and vitals will be noted before going to bed.
What are the characteristics of the dementia last stage?
During the advanced phase of dementia, known as the last stage, individuals experience significant cognitive decline and physical deterioration. Common characteristics include severe memory loss, limited verbal communication, mobility challenges, and increased dependence on caregivers. In this stage, individuals may also exhibit behavioral changes, such as agitation or withdrawal. Transitioning to a supportive care setting with specialized services becomes crucial to ensure optimal comfort and quality of life.
What happens during a medical emergency?
We have inhouse Physicians and experts at the hospital round the clock working in shifts and they will attend the patients when need arises. In case the patient requires a specialist consultation we will check it with the family once and then make arrangements for the patient to be reviewed. Basic medical care will be provided. As the hospital has an ICU block intensive care unit facility, emergencies can be handled immediately.
What kind of rooms do you have and what are the facilities inside the room?
The hospital has single sharing. The patients will not be allowed to lock the doors and a nurse assistant will always stay with the patient. In the room, there is a sofa, bed, pillows, soundproof glasses, rubberized wood flooring for patient’s safety, and 24-hour water, AC and so on will be provided to each person. In the ICU ward, there is a fowler’s bed for patients who are in a severe stage of dementia.
Can the visitors visit the patient at anytime?
Visiting hours are restricted to 1 hour per day, it will be charged beyond 1 hour during this time families will be permitted to visit the patient. And they can spend time with the patients.
Can the patients come out of the facility?
The hospital is surrounded and secured with CCTV and security personnel, and is well protected on all sides with camera surveillance. There is only one entry and exit point, which always has a security personnel present.
